There are many online services nowadays and you need an account for each of them. Although it is never a safe course of action, you could use the same password for all accounts, to make sure that you won't lock yourself out of an account. A better idea is to use complex passwords and store them in a secure database. This is what you can do with My Password Manager. The software allows you to save your login credentials and organize them in different folders. Additionally, you can copy your usernames and passwords to the clipboard, without revealing them, or log into an account right away, without typing or pasting anything.

My Password Manager is free to try for 30 days, after which you must buy a license. It can be installed in just a few seconds, on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7. The application does not ask for any additional services and its hardware requirements are modest.

Accounts can be organized on an explorer-like user interface. You can click a series of options, located on a toolbar, to create folders and sub-folders on the left side of the window, and account entries on the right side. Account entries are defined on a tabbed window, on which you can specify a username, password, URL or an executable's path, type personal comments and select a different storage folder.

Using simple or obvious passwords, like names or birthdays is never a good idea. If you can't think of a better password, you can use the software's built-in password generator. It can create random passwords, with upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters instantly and you can specify how long it should be.

You can select a listed account and click a series of options to launch its URL, copy its username or its password. These options are particularly useful especially when someone is looking over your shoulder. Alternatively, you can hit the Auto-fill option to paste the username and password in the appropriate fields automatically. The software's general settings menu includes a good number of security features. You can set My Password Manager to clear the clipboard automatically when you shut it down or minimize the interface, to lock when minimized and more.

Pros

You can organize usernames and passwords in a secure database. The application allows you to copy the credentials to the clipboard and use an auto-fill function, so you won't reveal them. It also provides a password generator, for creating long and complex passwords.

Cons

Passwords are not hidden on the main interface. Fortunately, you can disable the passwords column. With My Password Manager, you can work with hundreds of long and complex passwords and keep them safe at the same time.
